Knitting into Bowls, Recycled Sweaters

I realized why I'm having trouble turning some of my felted sweaters into tote bags. (ok, I know it's really called Fulling).
It's not that they're too thick & I have to hand-sew them (they are). It's because they're pink, purple and royal blue & I can't picture a bag in these colors. Maybe they'll become some creatures.

I just pulled these out of the wash and am less than pleased with the amount of shrinkage. So, I'll have to run another wash later on today and see if they'll shrink some more and loose some more of the stitch definition.
